Anna Bess Simmons
Anna Bess has worked in interior design in some capacity for 20 years. Since graduating in 1998 from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, Anna Bess has worked on a variety of design projects including healthcare, hospitality, historic restoration, financial, educational, and high-end residential.
In 2009 Anna Bess left the interior design industry for a short time to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education. She taught for ten years while continuing to take freelance projects in her spare time. Anna Bess began working in interior design again for Anderson Design Center in 2018.
Anna Bess’s design style tends to be warm, earthy, and eclectic. She gravitates toward finishes that evoke good memories and promotes positive energy. She loves incorporating antiques as well as contemporary pieces. She blends and connects her palettes using variety in texture and colors to provide interest as well as continuity. Anna Bess desires to make her clients happy by creating spaces that are both inviting and beautiful. She believes that it is important that the client’s space be reflective of their personal preferences as well.
Anna Bess and her family are very involved in their church and community. When Anna Bess is not working, she enjoys being creative and traveling with her family.
