DO YOU SELL "WATERPROOF" FLOORING?

Let’s clarify what “waterproof” really means. It’s only waterproof on the surface, protecting against occasional spills or moisture from above. However, water from underneath, such as from a leak, is not covered under warranty.

I WANT "REAL" HARDWOOD, THE KIND YOU NAIL DOWN. DO YOU OFFER THAT?

Yes, we offer traditional solid hardwood that can be nailed down. However, let’s first determine what type of subfloor you have. Engineered wood is also real hardwood and can sometimes be a better option. It’s more structurally sound and designed to handle moisture and temperature changes better than solid wood. We can help you decide which option is best for your home.

CAN YOU INSTALL A TILE WITH A POLISHED FINISH ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR?
Absolutely! Many people think polished tile isn’t suitable for bathroom floors because it can be slippery when wet. While that’s partly true, most people dry their feet after showering or use a bath mat, so they typically aren’t walking around with wet feet. So go ahead and enjoy that gorgeous polished tile you’ve always wanted!
CAN YOU INSTALL NATURAL STONE IN A SHOWER?
Yes, you can, but it’s not for everyone. Proper care and maintenance are essential! Be sure to use pH-balanced cleaners designed for natural stone, and avoid abrasive products or those containing bleach, ammonia, or harsh chemicals. Remember to reapply a penetrating sealer periodically. Also, keep in mind that natural stone is not suitable for steam showers.
IS IT OKAT TO USE A WOOD FLOOR IN A KITCHEN?
Yes, it’s okay to use wood flooring in a kitchen, but there are some important considerations. Wood can add warmth and beauty to the space, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, kitchens are prone to spills and moisture, which can damage wood over time.

To ensure durability, consider these tips:

1. Choose a Hard Species: Opt for a harder wood, like oak or hickory, which can withstand wear and tear better than softer varieties.

2. Finish Matters: A high-quality finish can help protect against moisture and stains.

3. Regular Maintenance: Keep the floor clean and dry, and promptly address any spills to prevent damage.

4. Consider Engineered Wood: Engineered hardwood can be more resilient in humid environments compared to solid wood.

With proper care, wood flooring can be a beautiful and functional choice for your kitchen!

WHAT COLOR TEMPERATURE LIGHTS SHOULD I USE?
For a balanced lighting option, consider using bulbs in the 2800 to 3500 Kelvin range. This color temperature offers a warm, inviting glow that strikes a good balance—neither too yellow like traditional incandescent bulbs nor too blue, which can feel harsh and clinical.

Lights within this range create a comfortable atmosphere in living spaces, making them ideal for areas like the living room, kitchen, and even bathrooms. If you want a cozy ambiance, leaning towards the lower end of the spectrum (around 2800K) can enhance warmth, while the higher end (up to 3500K) is great for tasks where clarity and focus are important, like in home offices or workshops.

Ultimately, choosing the right color temperature can significantly influence the mood and functionality of a room, so consider your space and how you want it to feel!

WHY DO STAINS KEEP REAPPEARING IN MY CARPET AFTER I CLEAN THEM?
Have you ever noticed that after using a carpet stain remover, the stain seems to come back after a few days—sometimes even worse than before? This is a common issue, and the explanation is usually straightforward: the cleaning agent isn’t fully rinsed out of the carpet.

Think of it like washing your hands with soap but not rinsing them afterward. While your carpet may look clean immediately after treatment, any leftover detergent can attract dirt and soil, effectively acting like glue. The more cleaner you apply to the spot, the worse it can get.

To prevent this, make sure to thoroughly rinse the stained area with water to remove all detergent residues. If stains continue to reappear, it might be time to call in a professional. As a general rule, using hot water extraction is the best initial approach for tackling stubborn stains.

* Carpet manufacturers require that carpets be professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months for warranty coverage, and it’s essential to keep receipts as proof of these cleanings.
