Ready to get started?

Modern and colorful design elements allow for the ultimate lake retreat in this new construction at Big Bay Lake. Attention to detail abounds in this custom home built by Chris Barber Construction, LLC and designed by Lake and Land Studio, LLC.

Client Christen Raanes contacted Anderson Design Center interior designer, Paige Charbonneau, to execute her vision, knowing exactly what she wanted from the beginning concept. Paige recently designed Christen’s mother’s home in Big Bay and was delighted to begin work with the family again.

White oak flooring contrasts with black accents to create striking features throughout, while the brightly colored geometric backsplash adds a fun focal point to the kitchen. Ample windows allow for plenty of natural light and expansive views from every room. The master bathroom features black and white geometric tile flooring with a soaker tub settled in between the two stylish sinks. The floor to ceiling tiled shower showcases exquisite black handcrafted tiles that reflect varying colors, along with a duel-head shower system. The upstairs shower’s grayish green square tile coordinates with the sleek limestone porcelain flooring. The shower floor mosaic tile was also brilliantly used as the backsplash to the jack-and-jill sinks.

An enclosed porch, private boat dock, and fire pit are all nestled away in the charm of this stunning lakefront retreat.
